What happened

Mirelo AI GmbH released SFX 2.0 on 14 October 2026. The model changes a video's soundtrack without regenerating the picture: it keeps dialogue, removes unwanted music and adds effects, foley and ambience synced to the action. It runs in the Mirelo playground, the Mirelo Editor and the API, with plugins listed for Adobe Premiere Pro and DaVinci Resolve. Studio and the API accept videos up to 10 minutes.

As of 3 November, SFX 2.0 costs 10 credits per second of audio per variant, down from 15, until 12 December 2026. The Creator plan costs €20 a month for 120,000 credits. A free plan gives 5,000 credits a month and watermarks exports.

Why it matters

Generated clips can arrive with sound already attached; Black Forest Labs includes audio with FLUX 3 Video at no extra charge. SFX 2.0 lets an editor strip unwanted music inside Premiere Pro or Resolve and add effects, foley and ambience around the existing dialogue, without generating the image again.

Festivals check sound as well as image. NovaScreen in Vienna requires entrants to hold public-screening rights for all music, voice and sound.

Still open

Who owns the generated audio, and whether free-plan output may be used commercially, is not stated on Mirelo's announcement or pricing pages.
